Pam Wright Treasurer

Pam has been interested in politics since her college days in Boston during the early 60ies where she was galvanized by the Civil Rights and Anti-War movements. Subsequently, Pam began her career as a language teacher (English and Spanish), working in city schools in Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, New Haven and Stafford Springs. Pam has lived in town since 1974 when she and her (anthropologist) husband moved into their Pleasant Street home, now known for the spreading flower garden that runs down to the street.

Since her retirement from teaching she has been involved with her grandchildren, the Master Gardener’s Association, The Garden Club of Windham, and led the successful effort to certify the city area of Willimantic as the 68th nationally recognized Certified Community Wildlife Habitat, a designation awarded by the National Wildlife Federation of America. She has served as Treasurer of the WDTC since 2005.
